It's weird how this perky song was making me cry at this ungodly hour of Friday.
(I was listening to it on my phone, so there's no girl in bikini on my drama scene.)
It's been my habit to listen to this song whenever I'm down or if I've been listening to scary stories. It never fails to lift me up and make me braver, like an embrace from an old friend which assures you that everything would be alright.
And now, it's bringing me to tears because it's saying what I can't seem to find words for.
So I'll borrow the lyrics,
And now we're slightly weathered, we're slightly worn
Our hands grip together, eye to eye through the storm, yet
I still believe in ever after with you, yeahhhhh
'cause life is a pleasure with you by my side,
And there ain't no current in this river we can't ride
I still believe in ever after with you.
Heard that, Stardust?
You're still my ever after so no, there's no way I'm leaving your side. /cheese

Uber Delayed Rant on Hunger Games and Magnum
I've been meaning to put an entry about the irritating SNS wave of Magnum and how I think Hunger Games was so overrated but I changed my mind since even posting about these two has become annoying.
But for the record (haha, I'm still posting after all!), Magnum's OK. I like the almond better than the Truffle but I still like Selecta's Caramel Cheesecake best. :p
Hunger Games was also OK. The pacing's fast but the story and characters are half baked, the ending was also predictable. (Or maybe because Flip bombed me with spoilers!)
And oh, just a thought. I remember Ron Padilla, one of my 24/7 peeps, saying that Harry Potter's legend was due to a very effective marketing strategy. Of course I said his idea was 'Riddikulus' but I did remember him after watching the movie. Hunger Games is a perfect example of what he's accusing Harry Potter to be: mass craze via marketing strategy.

Bite Me
When Papa passed away and Mama was crying her heart inside out, I wanted to play the strong daughter so I said, "Ma, andito pa naman kami eh." to console her.

What A Very Interesting Topic
"Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me and ME!" she says.
OK, I get it. You love yourself and you don't want to acknowledge any word I say.
Can we move on to something more interesting now or should I just talk to our bird to get a more interesting conversation?

What a bummer first post for '12.
I think I understand why wives nag when their husbands go on drinking a binge with friends. It's not the drinking that upsets them, it's the fact that the husband can choose between wife and bed or friends and bottles, and the husband chooses the latter.
Gentlemen, do yourselves a favor and decline a night out just once. You'll be rewarded with a night of no drama, trust me.
