If the opposite of like is dislike, then is hate the opposite of love?

Nope.

It's uncaring. Hating somebody is more acceptable because there's still a reason for that person to exist in your life, as a person you hate. But when you don't give a d*mn about somebody's feelings and when you choose to ignore somebody's existence and you simply don't care, that's the time you know that it's no longer love.
